Built by a PGA Professional
We built this because
we lived the problem
League Handicap was created by a PGA Professional who grew a golf league from 46 members to over 250. That growth came with hundreds of hours managing spreadsheets, manual handicap calculations, and player disputes. After testing every tool available, one thing was clear: nothing was built for league operators. So we built it.
What handicap management actually looks like
You run a Tuesday evening league. 48 members. They play 9 holes every week from April to September. Your league uses a modified handicap system—80% of the differential, best 5 of last 10 rounds, max handicap of 24.
Every week after the round, you export scores from GolfGenius. Then you open a spreadsheet. You manually look up each player's previous scores. You calculate the new differentials. You update the handicaps. You double-check your math because last month someone complained their handicap was wrong (it wasn't, but you had to prove it).
Then you do it again for the Thursday league. Which has different rules. And the Saturday league. Which plays 18 holes and uses a different calculation.
This is what League Handicap automates.

How we compare
Most tools weren't designed for the weekly reality of running a competitive golf league. Here's how League Handicap stacks up.
| Feature | GHIN | Spreadsheets | League Handicap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Built for league operations | No | No | Yes |
| League-specific handicap rules | Limited | Manual | Built-in |
| Automatic weekly recalculation | No | No | Yes |
| Weekly admin time | Moderate | 3–5 hours | Minutes |
| Risk of calculation errors | Low | High | Very low |
| Scales as your league grows | Limited | Breaks down | Effortlessly |
How we're different
League-specific handicaps
Each league has its own handicap calculations. A player in your Tuesday and Saturday leagues has two separate handicaps, each using that league's rules. This is how real leagues work.
Your rules, not ours
Configure minimum rounds, scoring percentages, max handicaps, and calculation methods. We don't force you into USGA rules if your league does something different.
GolfGenius integration
Export from GolfGenius, import here. We automatically match players and apply your handicap rules. No manual data entry, no copy-paste errors.
Instant reports
Generate PDF handicap cards and Excel exports with one click. Post them in the pro shop or email them to members. No more formatting spreadsheets.
Built to scale as your league grows
Growth multiplies complexity. More players, more divisions, more payouts, more scrutiny. League Handicap was built during a period of 547% league growth—designed from day one to handle expansion without adding administrative burden.
Whether you manage 40 players or 250+, the system stays simple, organized, and reliable.
