Getting Started

What is League Handicap?

League Handicap is a professional golf league management platform designed specifically for golf courses. We help you manage leagues, track handicaps, import scores from GolfGenius, and generate reports—all with league-specific handicap calculations that match your unique rules.

How do I get started?

Simply click "Get Started" or "Sign Up" to create an account. After signing up, you'll create your first league, add your course information, configure your handicap rules, and import your members. The whole setup process takes about 15-20 minutes.

Do I need technical expertise to use League Handicap?

No! League Handicap is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive. If you can use a spreadsheet, you can use our platform. We also provide documentation and support to help you get started.

Is there a free trial?

We don't offer a free trial, but you can explore our demo environment on the home page to see all features in action with sample data before signing up.

Features & Functionality

What handicap systems do you support?

We support custom league-specific handicap calculations. You can configure minimum rounds required, adjustment percentages, maximum handicaps, and various calculation methods. While we don't calculate official USGA handicaps, we're designed for leagues that use their own internal handicap systems.

Can I import scores from GolfGenius?

Yes! We support direct import of score data from GolfGenius Excel exports. Simply export your tournament results from GolfGenius and import them into League Handicap. We'll automatically match players and calculate handicaps based on your league rules.

Can I manage multiple leagues?

Absolutely! You can manage multiple leagues within your account, each with its own members, handicap rules, and courses. Perfect for courses that run morning leagues, evening leagues, men's leagues, women's leagues, etc.

What kind of reports can I generate?

We offer handicap reports (list and detail views), scoring history, player statistics, and tournament results. Reports can be exported to Excel or PDF format for easy sharing with league members.

Can players view their own statistics?

Coming SoonPlayers will be able to view their complete scoring history, current handicap, and understand exactly how their handicap was calculated. This transparency helps reduce disputes and builds trust in your league management.

Do you support different tee boxes?

Yes! You can configure multiple tee boxes for each course with different ratings and slopes. Handicaps are automatically adjusted based on which tee box a player uses.

Pricing & Plans

How much does League Handicap cost?

We offer tiered pricing based on the number of active members you manage. Plans start with a free tier for small leagues, and scale up for larger operations. Visit our pricing page for detailed information.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe. Your payment information is encrypted and never stored on our servers.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes! There are no long-term contracts. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Your data will remain accessible even if you cancel.

What happens if I exceed my member limit?

You'll receive a notification when you're approaching your plan's member limit. If you exceed it, you'll be prompted to upgrade to the next tier. If you downgrade to a lower tier while exceeding that tier's limits, access to your data will be restricted until you upgrade or reduce your member count. We never delete your data.

Data & Security

Is my data secure?

Yes! We use enterprise-grade security including encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), secure authentication via Clerk, and regular automated backups. Your data is stored in secure, redundant data centers.

Can I export my data?

Coming SoonAll your data will be exportable to Excel or PDF format at any time. You always maintain ownership of your data.

Do you backup my data?

Yes! We perform automatic backups of all data. In the unlikely event of a system failure, your data can be restored quickly.

Who can access my league data?

Only authorized users in your organization can access your league data. You control who has access and what permissions they have. Coming Soon Players will only be able to see their own statistics unless you grant them broader access.

Do you provide training?

We provide comprehensive documentation and video tutorials to help you get started. For larger organizations, we can arrange personalized onboarding sessions.

What if I encounter a bug or problem?

Migration & Integration

Can I import my existing league data?

Yes! We provide tools to import member lists and historical scores from Excel spreadsheets. We can also help with data migration from other systems on a case-by-case basis.

Does League Handicap integrate with other golf software?

We currently support importing scores from GolfGenius exports. If you use other golf management software and would like to see integration support, please let us know!

How long does it take to migrate from spreadsheets?

Most courses complete the migration in 30-60 minutes. The process involves setting up your league, importing members, configuring handicap rules, and importing historical scores. We provide step-by-step guidance throughout.
